"..This is just how I am" — no.
When pain gets passed down long enough, it starts to look like you. you’re not broken. you’ve just never seen your reflection without the filter. That’s not you. That’s what you learned to be. rewrite your story. rewrite your standard. - lo

Hi, I’m Lo.
I created the concept of Lo Standard after surviving what I now jokingly call psychological warfare disguised as a breakup. At the time though, it wasn’t funny. I was unraveling. I felt completely lost. Not just in what I was doing, but in who I even was.
There was a time when my standards were low for how I let myself be treated, how I spoke to myself, and what I believed I deserved. A lot of that came from growing up in chaos, learning to survive by managing other people’s emotions, and carrying that pattern into the relationships I allowed in my life.
That cycle didn’t shift because someone saved me. It shifted the moment I stopped trying to fix what felt broken and started remembering who I already was underneath the chaos.
That’s when I began raising my own standard and moved into a version of myself I didn’t even know was possible.
And that journey led me here, creating this space for others to do the same, to raise their standard, reconnect with themselves, and finally live in alignment with who they’re becoming.

With a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University, a California LMFT license, and hands on experience working with adults in mental health rehabilitation programs and substance use treatment centers, I bring both clinical insight and lived experience to the table.
I began my work with adolescents in school based settings during training and later helped launch an adolescent program in a higher level of care treatment setting, which gave me a strong foundation in family systems and communication work. Over time, I realized my strongest clinical fit and passion was working with adults.
In my work, I’ve supported men and women navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation, relationship patterns, substance use, and major life transitions. I’ve also helped families reconnect, communicate more openly, and build healthier ways of relating to one another.
But beyond credentials, what truly shaped this work was life itself. Navigating heartbreak, self doubt, anxiety, and the slow process of learning how to raise my own standard is part of what built this.
Lo Standard was born from that intersection of clinical understanding and real world healing. I offer both a clinical path through virtual therapy and a non clinical space through coaching and psychoeducational groups for growth.
These spaces are not about fixing you. They’re about supporting your becoming with tools, reflection, honest insight, and a space that holds growth without judgment.
My work is informed by approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, and Gottman Method training (Level 1), and I’m currently continuing my education in Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) because I genuinely love gaining deeper insight and understanding how the brain and nervous system, especially in relation to healing, regulation, our attachments, and change.

Life Coaching – Focused on untangling perfectionism, overthinking, self-doubt, codependency, and whatever else you’ve been quietly carrying. I won’t be providing traditional psychotherapy, but coaching does have a therapeutic element.
Therapy – A clinical space for healing, insight, and real change, with support for mental health symptoms, patterns, and emotional overwhelm.
-
Lo Standard is for individuals who are tired of repeating the same patterns and ready for something deeper than surface level advice.
This space is for you if you’re working on things like boundaries, self trust, emotional regulation, relationship patterns, follow through, and learning how to build a life that actually reflects what you deserve.
If you’re not sure whether therapy or coaching is the right fit, that’s okay. You do not need to have the perfect words before you reach out. I built Lo Standard for exactly that messy middle too.

Groups Coming soon
I will be holding groups that are a non-clinical mental health offering — open to all and designed to explore the inner work in a way that’s engaging, honest, and real.
Rooted in psychoeducation, curiosity, and connection (not diagnosis), these sessions offer a soft landing place for the parts of you that are seeking clarity, growth, and presence.
Whether you’re untangling thought patterns, rebuilding your self-talk, or simply learning how to stay with yourself in the uncomfortable moments — this space is for you.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need to be willing to show up. -
While coaching through Lo Standard is not traditional psychotherapy, it can still bring up meaningful emotional work. I’m a strong advocate for layered support and encourage deeper mental health work with a licensed mental health professional alongside coaching when needed, whether that’s in therapy with me (through my clinical platform) or with another provider. Your growth deserves layered support.
This is a space for exploring what it means to be human — full of contradictions and still worthy of care. Through reflection, conversation, and connection, we raise our standard for how we see ourselves, how we show up, and how we care for one another. Remember, you can rewrite your standard anytime. Come as you are — stay as you become.
